  • The Marketing Suite for Honeybourne Gate, the new luxurious retirement development in Cheltenham has been declared open by the town’s Mayor, Cllr Simon Wheeler and Council Leader Steve Jordan.

    Honeybourne Gate is a Markey Group development operated by Oak Retirement and the high specification apartments are now on sale, from a Marketing Suite at the Gloucester Road site. The apartments will all have access to a range of facilities within the complex, providing residents a cinema, gym, swimming pool and even a roof garden.

    Honeybourne Gate is being developed by Markey Group, built by Markey Construction with fitted kitchens manufactured by the Markey Group firm, Premiere.

    The scheme is being backed by private investment company Parallel Capital and is also supported by GFirst LEP with loan funding from the Gloucestershire Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF).

    Located on what was once a brownfield site, Honeybourne Gate has been specially designed for older people keen to remain independent and continue living in their own properties rather than move into a care home. The scheme consists of 54 one and two bedroom apartments and residents will be able to access “extra care” services including domestic help, assistance with personal care and emergency support at any time.
