• Premiere's Tim Morgan plays pivotal role in Rugby World Cup at Kingsholm

  • As we waited in anticipation for the Rugby World Cup final in October, Premiere's Surveying and Transport Manager, Tim Morgan, looked forward to the match after playing a key logistics role during the early stages of the competition held at Kingsholm stadium in Gloucester.

Tim volunteered as part of the logistics team at Kingsholm, where they were known as 'The Pack'.  The team dedicated their free time to help facilitate games in Gloucester, starting three weeks prior to the start of the tournament.

Managing the set up of the press centre, upgrade of the stadium, organising security, general infrastructure, and ensuring guest teams were made as comfortable as possible was all in a days work.  But it didn't end when the whistle blew - 'The Pack' then set to ensuring the final stages of each event went without a hitch - from ensuring safe and smooth exit from the site for fans and teams, to ensuring that the site could then be returned to its pre-match state.

  • Tim really enjoyed being part of the team and helping Gloucester Rugby make the World Cup events such a success at Kingsholm.  He was also really happy that he had the opportunity to meet Steve Borthwick and Eddy Jones, both coaching the team for Japan, along with Greg Laidlaw who plays for Gloucester, and Gareth Thomas who played for Wales.

When we thought he would have had enough of Rugby following his volunteering at Kingsholm, Tim attended two world cup matches in the same weekend! Tim and his family then made the most of the 'Final' Saturday by watching Gloucester play at home, followed by the World Cup final shown on big screens at Kingsholm - true superfans!

    Well done Tim!
